Leland Nakaoka
Co-Founder
Leland brings over 30 years of experience in construction and institutional real estate, including senior roles in investment management at BlackRock. He is the founder of Pacific Development Services, a boutique advisory firm serving institutional real estate investors and lenders across building assessment and construction advisory. TakaraWorks was born out of firsthand experience with the inefficiencies of the draw review process — and a conviction that construction monitoring professionals deserve better tools.
Suresh Kumar
Co-Founder
Suresh brings deep expertise in building AI-driven products and commercializing deep-tech innovations. At SRI International and PARC he led AI productization and venture-studio operations across cybersecurity, multimodal AI, and enterprise workflows. His earlier career spans Goldman Sachs, E*Trade, and Atos Syntel. He holds an MBA from NYU Stern and multiple AI/ML patents. At TakaraWorks he leads product and engineering, architecting an agentic AI platform end-to-end on Next.js, Python, Claude, and LangGraph.
